SKIN TAG REMOVAL

At We Do Esthetics to remove skin formation we use electrocauterization. Electrocauterization (or electrocautery) is a procedure that uses heat from an electric current to destroy abnormal tissue.

The main advantages of electrocautery are the minimum exposure area and blood clotting under the influence of current. This eliminates infection, high tissue trauma, such as surgical excision, and the risk of bleeding.

Also, the advantage of the method is a high cosmetic effect. Removal of small skin defects by electrocoagulation is carried out without subsequent scar formation. In place of large formations, a dark spot may remain, which will disappear with time.

What to expect during the treatment?

No preliminary preparation is required to remove skin tag.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and is absolutely minimal discomfort for the patient.

Immediately after removal, pink, delicate skin is noticeable at the site of the former neoplasm, which forms into a crust during the healing process.

What to expect afterwards?

After the procedure, it is recommended not to sunbathe for 3-4 weeks, it is necessary to protect the removal site with sunscreen, and the crust that has formed on the skin should not be removed ahead of time.

Under the crust, which protects the wound from infection and comes off on its own within 10 days, a new epithelium is formed.

What are indications?

Papilloma
Cherry Angioma
Warts
Keratosis
Milia
Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Post-care instruction.

Keep the bandage on and avoid getting the treated area wet for the 24 hours.

Do not
scrub or pick at the scab, it will fall away naturally once the skin has completed healing.

Avoid swimming pool and hot tubs as this may increase the chance of infection. Reduce activities at the gym during 3-4 days.

Avoid topical antiseptic solutions (such as hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol). These solutions are irritating, delay wound healing, and may increase scarring.

Apply plain Vaseline ointment or prescribed topical ointment.

Apply SPF 30 on the open areas such as face, neck etc.
